April 27, 2022 Women of Color Legal Education Fund Event
Join the Washington Women Lawyers and Yakima VAS for their Women of Color Legal Education Fund Event! The program is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27th at 5 pm on Zoom and will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about different pathways for becoming a lawyer in Washington, as well as resources for how to join the profession.
The event will be moderated by WWL Yakima chapter member, Alma Zuniga, of the Northwest Justice Project (NJP) and feature:
Cecilia Barajas, currently pursuing legal education through Washington state's Rule 6 clerkship program;
Diana Lopez Batista, Program Director for Heritage LSAC Plus Program;
Vanessa Montoya, Associate Director of Admissions, University of Idaho, College of Law; and
Cindy Yeung, Assistant Dean, Access to Justice Institute, Seattle University School of Law, discussing the Flex JD Program.
The goal of this event and the Women of Color Legal Education Fund is to provide women of color in our community with information, tools, and resources to join the legal profession and be supported throughout the process.
